DU Exam Clash 2026

Final-year students at Delhi University (SOL, Regular, and NCWEB) are currently facing a major crisis. Due to the updated May-June 2026 datesheet, several core examinations have been scheduled on Sundays, specifically May 31, 2026.

This date directly clashes with major PG Entrance Exams and National Level Tests. If you are one of the thousands of students stuck between choosing your graduation degree and your future Master’s seat, you need to act now.

The Problem: Sunday, May 31st Clash

The University has introduced Sunday slots to finish the semester by mid-June. However, many students have already paid fees and received city intimations for entrance exams on this exact day.

If we do not speak up collectively, students may face a year-loss.

3 Steps to Take Immediately

  1. Draft an Email: Use the template provided below.
  2. Attach Proof: You must attach your DU Admit Card AND your Entrance Exam Hall Ticket (or fee receipt) as evidence of the clash.
  3. Send & Tag: Send the email to the Dean of Examinations and tag official handles on social media to ensure the message reaches the Vice Chancellor.

Subject: URGENT: Clash between Semester VI Examination and PG Entrance Exam – [Your Full Name]

Respected Dean of Examinations,

I am a final-year student of [Insert College Name/SOL] pursuing [Insert Course Name, e.g., B.A. History].

I am writing to bring to your urgent attention that my semester examination for [Insert Subject Name & Paper Code] is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026.

However, I am also appearing for the [Insert Entrance Exam Name, e.g., CUET-PG / TISS / Private University Exam] which is scheduled for the same day. Being a final-year student, both exams are critical for my academic career. Missing the DU exam will lead to a degree delay, while missing the entrance will result in a year-loss for higher education.

I earnestly request the University to consider rescheduling the Sunday paper or provide a buffer date for affected students. I have attached my DU Admit Card and my Entrance Exam proof for your reference.

Hoping for a positive and quick resolution.

Regards,
