CUET UG Application Form 2024 Correction Process

Here are the steps for the correction process:

• Go to this website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/
• Login to the above website by filling in your details like application number, password, and security pin.
• After filling in the details, you will be able to make corrections for many details like your name, subjects, courses, etc.
• When you are completed with the correction, you need to pay some fees for doing the correction.

What you are allowed to change

You can not edit/modify each detail you have filled. You can only edit the following details:

• Candidate Name
• Father’s Name
• Mother’s Name
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Category
• Class 10 Details
• Class 12 Details
• Sub-Category
• Photograph
• Signature
• Examination City Selection
• Medium of the Examination

What you are not allowed to change

You are not allowed to change the following:

• Mobile Number
• Email Address
• Address (Permanent and Present)
• Emergency Contact Details

Important things to keep in mind

1. You can only make the changes till 8 April 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
2. You can also change the subjects/tests and universities but only till the correction time.
3. Correction in the fields will only happen after the payment of an additional fee.
4. Once, you are done with correction and submit, you cannot change anything then.
5. You can make the payment through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.

What is the CUET Exam?

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission of students who have passed class 12 in top colleges of India.

Previously, all students were to get admission to colleges based on their marks alone in the 12 classes, but in the year 2022, CUET was introduced which made a big change in the admission process of students in colleges.

Now, the marks obtained in class 12 don’t matter anymore but the CUET score you get after passing class 12 matters a lot in the admission process for college.

However, you need to obtain at least 50% aggregate marks in class 12 to appear in CUET exams if you are a general category student and 45% marks if you are another category student like SC, ST, or OBC.

Purpose of CUET

Admission to various undergraduate, integrated, postgraduate, diploma, and certification courses and programs in 44 central universities of India.

It is also accepted by several other state universities and deemed universities in India. CUET is a computer-based exam that also encourages practical learning.

In other words, before CUET, students had to take different types of exams to get admission to universities, but now CUET has replaced all those exams for the convenience of students as well as universities.

Fee Structure of CUET

Subjects in CUET

Although there are a total of 29 subjects in CUET to choose from, we will discuss only the commerce subjects.

If you have passed your class 12 from the commerce stream you have to choose General Studies, English, Economics, Accountancy, and Maths. You can opt out of Maths if you are from the Commerce stream without Maths.

Other than General Studies all the subjects are those you have studied in class 12. The questions will be MCQs. In General Studies, different types of concepts come like logical reasoning, current affairs, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, etc.
